I just replaced my plugs. They had about 30000 miles in my 79 351m.5 were in good shape, 2 had the electodes broken or burned off even with the insulator and one had the insulator almost totally missing. I have never encountered this problem before. Have I got a problem or can anyone advise the cause.
Greeny,
This is a sign of a burned valve or advanced timing.
Does your truck "ping"? If so, you've burned the valves.
Do a compression test.
I'll bet the cylinders with bad plugs show low compression. If so, pull the heads and replace/rebuild your head/valves.
What size motor is this?

Greeny,
This is a 351M. This motor should have stelite seats so running on unleaded gas should not be an issue. Get your compression check and get back to us.
