I've done the searching and i can't find out if anybody has done this on this forum. I want to take a top from a junkyard and cut it, then have a shop put on a sotf top cover. This way i just use the existing holes. No drilling in the truck at all, just the cut up top. Has anyone here done this and have pics. I want the end to look like the Bronco top at http://www.soft-tops.com. I have a 3 year old that rides in the backseat, so it's use is a must. Anyway, i'm considering cutting the top then putting some type of bar from upper corner to the back to support the sides. If anybody has any pics (or paintshop experience), thanks in advance.
Josh
That's really cool, I've never seen that before. I've seen to other different kinds, but not that. I can't say for sure, I but I don't think anyone has done that on this forum.
I would like a soft top to, but I'm like you and don't want to drill holes in my truck.
Stick around, and someone might be able to help you out with this.
Thanks AJD. I never saw that one. That is the basic idea. I do know i'm not going to just use vinyl or a tarp. I want something that lasts longer. I'm going to try to get a top very soon here and get working on it. Getting married in August and my brother leaves for Iraq soon, so i might get held up a little, but i'll try to keep this updated.
