f150 will not reverse
I have a 2002 F150 supercrew 4x4 with 44,000 miles on it. Every once in a while the rear tires lock up when going in reverse. When this happens I have to go forward until I here a clunk, then the truck will be able to go in reverse again. I have brought the truck into two differant repair shops. They have taken the rear end and transmission apart, in both cases they said the oil was dirty. Both places said the brakes look ok. After the last time, there was a constant clunk coming from the rear when I went forward, this lasted for a couple miles. I was by myself so I could not pinpoint the exact location of the noise.

I doubt that they would go out with that little mileage, but stranger things have happened....check the ujoints. They could be binding. Start at the rear diff then go forward. Also make sure that the t-case is COMPLETLY in 2WD. A friends girlfriend wasted her Dodge's driveline cause she drove it around when it was slipping from 2wd to 4wd. She didn't think anything about the clunking noises.
