Ok gang, 01, 7.3 liter psd Excursion... this time it is the battery light staying on until it climbs to 1000-1500 rmp's. the alternator is less than a year old but the batteries i have never replaced.. it is getting to the point that i am spending more time and MONEY on my girlfriend than i am my own wife and thats not good because she starts to complain

Have your batteries "load" tested......you will probably find one of them that's not contributing to the effort.
i hear ya man i broke up with mine bout 3 months ago since then i have bought a alpine tv for my truck and been buyin stuff for me. it is a toss up though u get what u want like the material things and when you go home there aint anyone waitin on you. Atleast no bit*hin though but it has been a lil while since i got any i think im bout to go crazy!!!!! LOL

I would have a complete charging system test done. If you have one bad battery then replace them both. I have heard a ton of people tell me they replaced one and the other one died within weeks.
I am going to second(perhaps 3rd?) the notion, get a charging system check done, but most likely battery. Get them both replaced. I had ac delco gel cells put in my truck(dad works for gm, got a deal) and i cant say enough about them. Or get some tried and true motorcraft batteries. my truck had the factory batteries after 6 years.
