just incase anybody thinks i know a darn thing.... thought i'd let you know... my nice little 45 min install of my new tru-cool tranny cool took me 2 hours and 15 minutes...! geeeze....! talk about dirty, covered in sand and tranny fluid, and cuts...? my hands and arms will be sore for days..! sometimes the mods go real smooth and sometimes... uuuggghhhh...! next time i'll just pull the whole grille off... it would have been easier to do it that way..! oh well.... the cooler is in.... looks real good... doesn't leak...! and after i watched the tranny climb right over 200 last friday when i did a short tow in some heat and hummidity.... i'm really glad to get it on there...!
yes... i hope there is not a next time... but if i'd know it was gonna be that tough to reach up in there and hook those lines up, i would have just taken the grille off... i could have done it in half the time doing it that way..! and kwik... you KNOW nothin hurts quite like dozens of little razor cuts on your arms and hands...!

the way i put mine in took me 3+ hrs. took off the bumper and installed the thermobypass. made some trick aluminum brakckets as the crappy steel ones that came w/ it were not long or strong enough.
i went the easy route.. i used those through the condenser mounts.. there was nothing where i wanted to mount it to mount the bracket to... i know i know.. they are cheasy... but.. i have had good luck with that set up.. and... where i mounted it up high on the condeser... it gets lots of air flow just idling in the driveway... so i KNOW it will get lots of air going down the road..!
I mounted my Tru-cool to the 2 fiberglass upright bars behind the grill. Dieselsite included the extra hose, fittings, and bolts to attach everything. Just had enough room to remove the grill without removing my grill guard. The top 2 holes lined up with the upright bars and are bolted down. I tied the bottom 2 with zip ties around the bars. It is very secure and allows air to flow all around the cooler.
