Change to carb?

For a '93 EFI 460 in a F-250 4x4, would I be further ahead changing to older carb/intake/heads? I see used parts in bargain style publications all the time.I want to build this rig up enough to smoke the buns at will. The truck has 4.10's and locker diff's. For not too much cash, what should I do to this truck? Thanks.

In order to install a carb you would also have to swap out the heads because the EFI heads has different intake and exhaust ports. Along with a new carb new exhaust would be needed as well but if your building a tire smokin 460 I'm sure headers would be used but make sure you can find headers to fit your model truck with a carb.

You can still get the performance you want by converting your EFI to mass air. Then you could install a bigger cam and what ever else you want to do to the motor with out feaking out the computer.
