hey guys!
i ordered a bumper from ccg truck parts! the
bumper looks great! but it don't seem to fit right! the new
bumper don't seem to have any contour to it! it does not
countour with the valance! it just goes straight out! and i
end up with a gap on the outside of the bumper! do yall
think maybe they sent wrong bumper! i don't have the
original one to go buy! has anyone had this problem?
I put on a bumper from Mac,s and it is the same way. I went a looked at the old one and it was the same, it was bent on one end in a tangle with a pole, My son fixed it and put it on his 66. The end the was not bent is strait, just like the new one. MY son says he will push the bumper against my Bronco to bend the other side to match.
Did you give them your vin#, there is two different bumpers for a 65, so there
would have to be two different valances ( I think )! If I remember right
there is a cut off number on the vin# I think its like ( AGO ) in the vin#.
You never said if it was a crome or painted if it is painted have you thought
about cutting a piece out of each side and weld back.

NONE of the new replacement bumpers have the correct cut ends. They are actually bumpers for newer trucks that just happen to fit ours.
I had mine rechromed, as I wanted the correct fit. Also, I was unimpressed by the quality of the chrome on all the replacement bumpers I looked at. Cost me twice as much as the Taiwan ones, but look twice as good, IMO.
The bumper that I took off was OEM and it was as strait as the replacement, I also went out and looked at my wifes 68 F-350, it is the same and it is OEM.
