Mine did this this when I first picked it up. Only trip to dealer was for this reason BTW.
In July last year, they reflashed and unit got better.
In addition, shortly thereafter, my EGR valve became disabled. I don't know why or how but, I saw another A/C improvement @ idle as a result. When I reported the results here at FTE, others chimed in feeling that their A/C operation improved also. At 100 F here in the DFW area it has been working fine.
Keep in mind the my 6.0 is an early '04 build date. The '05 has updates so I am somewhat surprised that the A/C at idle is still an issue.
Take it to dealer....and good luck.
