axle tags

my 96 rear dif has a tag on it with the numbers 58j8m 5588 5k10.(not sure if the 3rd letter/number is a "J")

i know its a 3.55 ratio if its stock (havent taken it out) but was wondering what all the other numbers ment.

not sure about all the #s, but if it has a L next to the 55 then that means you have a Limited Slip, but it doesn't. You should have a Ford 8.8 with 3.55 gears and a open diff, if stock.
