I have had 2 alignments done at dealer to correct a pull to the left.. to give you an idea of how much pull, at 60mph if I let go of the wheel, the truck will move fully to the left hand lane in about 6-8 seconds... I have to hold the steering wheel at about the 1 o'clock position with slight pressure to keep it in a straight line...
The alignment specs show it all is fine.. I had tires rotated and then a 2nd alignment done.. still a problem. The tire pressure is equal on all 4 tires.. I am running Bridgeston Dueller REVO's, stock size in E load. I have a helwig rear anti sway and Rancho 9000's all around set at 3 on front, 5 in rear..
This isnt the typical X wandering issue we talk about here so often.. this is a distinct pulling as if the alignment was way off..
Have your calipers checked. I had one slightly sticking and thought my aligment was out. I had a few weeks of frustration before it got bad enough that it began to smell like someone was burning up a clutch. Only then did I check my calipers.
As mentioned caliper sticking could be a problem, also Ford specs have a lot of tolerance. So it could be within specs and still be "OK" Caster is the main reason for pulling we used to have one side set a little bit different than the other to allow for road crown, but don't remember what side.

thanks for replying..
I actually had the brakes replaced on the last visit along iwth the alignment etc.. So brakes should not be the issue as it was present before and after the brakes were done..
still a mystery, unless it is the alignment specs as described by GLR
It sounds simple but can be overlooked...ball, draglink, pitman, connecting arm joints...a little wear in all of them add up to alot of play. It would likely show in random wandering but might manifest itself in a steady pull...maybe. Good luck with it!
Ive had this problem for quite some time to i just know to steer to the right a lil bit to keep her straight when i stop... must be the brakes, my theory was that since the left side is the closest to the hydro booster maybe more brake fluid gets to the left side faster then to the right side thus pulling to the left. (just a theory)
I have 36,000 miles on My 2002 X..
As for Industrial_dudes post.. Unfortunately my "pulling" is when driving, not stopping.. brakes are new (replaced 2 weeks ago). I appreciate the input though
Don't assume that just because the brakes were just done, a sticking caliper can't be the issue. I just had brakes done after 8000 miles because a sticking caliper was the issue (on a F150), and no one realized it until it was too late.
