Spare Tire an Option?

My 99 F-350 has a hole in rear bumper for the crank to let down spare tire but has no mounting hardware for a spare. There is no crank, cable, etc.

Was this an option or has the prev. owner removed it? Thank you for all the help on this site, very useful and very good members!

Stop by a salvage yard and buy what ya need.
Maybe ten bucks, variable.

Spare Tire

If I'm correct (if I'm not, someone please correct me), the XLT & LARIAT came with a spare tire. The stripped down XL did not--it was an option.
