Dashpad removal??
Anyone know how you remove the dashpad on these trucks (1978)? I can't seem to figure it out and the manual doesn't say how to. Thanks in advance!

Dashpad removal??
It its like my 67,which I am sure that it is, get ready to skin your knuckles. You need a 1/4" drive setup (cant recall nut size, maybe 5/16") with plenty of extensions, and a little patience. There are approx. 7 studs coming off the underside of the pad. I cant recall the exact number or size, since I took mine out 2 years ago. You have to navigate through the various obstructions inside the dash to reach them. They are all in a straight line and pretty much in the middle of the pad, even with the defrost and speaker holes. Mine came out pretty easily since I was basically dismantling my truck for the restoration process. Good Luck, Mike
