Procedures on replacing the fuel filter?

I do not have a manual that talks about the replacement of the fuel filter. Can some one tell me what the procedure is or point me to a web site that will tell me how it is done.

Thanks
Chris

Nevermind, I found it via the Ford Service Manual

Fuel Filter Removal and Installation, 7.3L Engine, F-Series
Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cables from both batteries.

2. Place a container under vehicle and drain fuel from fuel filter.

3. Remove water drain tube from bottom of filter assembly.

4. Unscrew water separator drain bowl and remove.

5. Unscrew fuel filter element and discard.

Installation

1. Clean gasket surfaces of the fuel filter adapter to prevent contamination.

NOTE:
To avoid fuel contamination, do not add fuel directly to new filter. Allow engine to draw fuel through filter.

2. Lightly coat filter sealing gaskets with clean diesel fuel.

3. Screw new filter element onto filter base until seal contacts flange.

4. Tighten filter another 180 to 300 degrees of a turn.

5. Screw on water separator drain bowl. Tighten another 180 to 300 degrees of a turn.

6. Install water drain tube.

7. Clean up any spilled fuel from top of engine.

8. Connect battery ground cables to both batteries.

9. Run engine and check for fuel leaks.

Never disconnected my batteries in 12 years, I do drain the fuel down slightly via the water drain. Then disconnect WI-fuel light connector, drain hose, then unscrew the complete filter and bowl carefully so as not to spill fuel, drain in a suitable container. Never reuse old filter fuel, some members fill new filter with additive ie Stanadyne or Power Service.

Remove the base, clean, replace oring with new filter (use lube) and screw to new filter. If you do add fresh diesel to the filter before install, then pour it into the outer ring of holes to about 1" below the top. Screw the filter/base to the filter housing as stated in above instructions and check for leaks on start. You can purge air faster via the Schrader valve while cranking have rag handy.

Make sure the filter is seated properly before putting on the cap, and make sure the o-ring isn't pinched when replacing the cap. Take your time.
