Hey, wasn't there that one guy who stood in front of that one tank during some kinda protest, then got squishied. Not sure it was in our country. Yea, That would give killer ground clearance, If you want one you could find a old out of service or wore out ariel lift, like a JLG or GENIE lift. They all have hydraulic motors at the wheels, with gear reduction hubs, along with hydraulic steering already hooked up. You could take those axles, and modify, or just use the hubs out and mount the suspension up. I think the ones on our cranes work with some sort of air tank set up. Or something, to give it suspension travel. They work as the load holding, and as the shock. Works good. But Not totally sure what method it uses to allow you to raise it then to have give for articulation. I think its some kind of bladder set up, where you have air over hydraulic or something, that way it can compress the air when it hits a bump, which would absorb it. I thought of building off road buggies out of golf carts and lawn mowers with hydrostatic drive. Maybe turn the motor sideways, and put drive shafts on the hubs and put some real axles under them. He he. You can see alot of our cranes on the bridges. Our yard is off Kansas Ave. Off I640 or something like that.

Thats why you gotta get used and wore out stuff. Alot cheaper. I'm dead azz tired. I started work yesterday at 12 pm and didn't get off work until 7:30 pm. Paid for 20. God I was really tired this morning. I was operating our 5120 grove set up with 136 ft. of main with 59 ft. of jib. I was changing out a cooling tower set up on the triad building at 61st and memorial, in tulsa. Well I didnt turn any wrenches. Just did the lever pulling. That sucks though to just get set up as it gets dark, and still be working when the sun comes up.

I have been working since 8AM this morning and it is now 12:30AM or 16.5hrs and I still have a few hours to go. It has been a long one. I still have a few connections in the hydraulics world and ebay can be a surprising place to pick up hydraulic parts if you know what you are looking for. -Someday...
