Kinda depends on how you want to go about it, your talents, $, and equipment.

Probably the simplest would be a dropped I-beam, and rear flip kit. Without knowing what you have in the way of tools and talents, kinda hard to say what would be the best for you.

well i have a lot of experince in lowering cars and trucks but its limited to imports and gms. i've never lowered a ford. i have a basic idea on how to do it on rangers but thats it. but i do have money to spend on this, thats not an issue. i prefer to do it under a grand if that is possable. anyways do you know of any web sites that i can go on to buy the things i need and maybe a web site that gives me a brief distription on how to do the front. i want to be low lol. thank you for ur help and sorry about the spelling.

Depends on how low you want to lower it.Reverse eye springs would be a quick way to lower it some.

Welcome to the site. Take a look at my gallery. I have pictures of what I did to lower my 64. There are many ways to lower one, mine's just one option. Good luck with your project and keep us posted.

So if I understand correctly, what you did was flip the axle on top of the springs? Do you still have the stock steering setup, and did you have to modify it at all to make it work?

If you just want to buy parts, do a search in previous threads for MorDrop they sell drop axles. Also look for mono-leaf springs. This will lower it quite a bit. Myself, (on my 64) I am planning on removing a couple leafs and reversing the eyes on the springs to lower a couple inches. If you want it slammed, look at the air bag setup done by Vegas in his gallery.
Hope this helps.

I highly recomend against doing the front axle over the leafs (at least with my 292) unless your planning on doing airbags.......why?..... because this is going to put your oil pan square on your tie rod.......as far as steering mods, if you go with what i have up front (4"stretch a'la dave mann, full leaf pack under axle, 2600# 'bags), you will need to heat and bend in the steering arm that connects to the backing plate and you will also need to have the arm that goes from the steering box to the reradiused arm

if you need any more explanation feel free to pm me

best of luck

I did the volare front swap complete with p/s pdb and for the rear c-notched with rear end over springs view my gallery depends on how low you want to go the way mine sits I still have a little adjustment left for lowering but not much.
I have a 1964 f100 long bed so it looks real low
