Window motor Square or round
I have replaced window motors in my truck (85 F305 CC) numerous times. Sometimes I get square one sometimes I get round ones. The older round ones appear to be heavier beefier units. Is there a difference?

I think the round ones are tougher units. Most of the time the nylon torque pins break up so the window wont work properly. I usually replace the pins and make sure the brushes are ok. Have you ever looked at the aluminum end plate? Has a C5 number 1965 so that design has been around a long time. I think they went to the smaller ones in 90 or 91 to save on weight.
