automatic door locks???

automatic door locks???
I have a 03 ex and i know when you put it in drive and take off the doors will lock. What i want to know is should the doors unlock when you put the truck back in park. If so how can i make mine do it??

I am not sure if they should or not but in my 2002 Ford Focus they don't. But t is not a big deal because if the door is locked you can still open it from the inside. Unless the back doors have the child security thing enabled.

My 2000 didn't when I bought it. But my aftermarket alarm installer made it lock a few seconds after the engine was started.
It won't unlock in Park but will unlock when the ignition is shut off...a bit of a frustration when you get out with the engine running to open the hatch.
