Okay guys, I need to know if I need to change out the pedal arm BRACKET on my power brake conversion. Going from manual disc brakes, no cruise control, to power front disc brakes, with cruise control. I know the arm is different, I just need to know if I need to change the bracket also. Thanks
Check to see if there are TWO holes for pedal lever to attach.
Also, if the M/C arm attaches to a bolt or a shaft with spring keeper.
It should be a bolt.
John, I have a 73 f 100 that had manual breaks until 2 weeks ago. A manual pedal and a power pedal are a little different, but both will bolt up to the same bracket. The little bracket that holds your break light switch on a power pedal is about an 1 1/4" to an 1 1/2" closer to the seat. In order to make the break lights function correctly you will need the power pedal. Converting from manual breaks to power is a very simple bolt on procedure that took less than an hour. If you have any further questions, feel free to e mail me.
