I've used a few in the past years. Right now I have Meguiars Soft Wash Gel...seems to work alright, though it doesn't seem to sud enough for me. I bought some new stuff the other day but haven't gotten to try it out....I can't seem to remember the name of it either.
I use Meguiar's Nxt Generation car wash. It does a great job plus the suds last for the entire truck wash. No more squirting water in the pail to get more suds.
I have been looking for NXT and can't find it locally, Meguiar's told me it would work great since I have hard water, as it has a softener already in it.
But, no luck so far. Everybody is still selling the Deep Crystal around here, I have to really hunt for the Gold Class.
Before the Mr. Clean system came along, I used Murphy's Oil Soap.
Just a couple of glugs in a bucket of water. The only thing is the soap doesn't suds up like car wash soap does.
I currently have been using that mr clean auto dry it does a decent job and is pretty useful if you need a quick car wash but dont want to spend the money a a regular car wash
I've been using Mequiars and Zip (Turtle Wax) soap. Love them both. Turtle Wax just came out with a new soap in an orange container that does not leave water spots. I bought a container of it at Advance Auto and have used it once, but want to keep trying it. IT did not sud up very well the first time, but did dry with no streaks or water spots on the paint or glass. To not have the spots, I'll deal with no suds...
I've been using the Mr. Clean Auto-Dry soap, not the whole system, just the soap. It does seem to help with the water spots, I have hard water around here.
I've been using mr clean for a while now and it works really good on small cars but its hard to keep the whole truck wet and then spray it with the special rinse esp since i have really hard water
I use Mother's California Gold Wash, Carnauba Cleaner Wax and Showtime Spray for quick cleanup of insect and bird splats. I use a sheepskin mitt for washing that I rinse after every panel followed up by drying with a terry cloth. Leaves a mirror finish on my black clearcoat.
All I ever use is water and a sponge. Works just fine, and doesn't strip wax or leave residue.
If the dirt gets enbedded on the surface of the sponge it will scratch. I use a cotton terry cloth, the longer the nap the better and rinse in clean water or put a grate on the bottom of your soap bucket.
