Would like to introduce myself. Name is Dave. I have been working on and building cars(street rods) from about 1957. I just started a new 1948 F1. More about that later.
I guess you want backgroung. I joined the military at age 17 and worked as a aircraft mechanic. Went to pilot school in 1965 and flew untill retirement. The mechanical background helped by allowing me to become a test pilot, both maintenance and engineering. After retiring from the Army I flew as a civilian for several years, untill I became tired of never being home. I then went to work as a mechanic/ inspector untill two years ago, when I went on full retirement. Maybe now I can find time to build a real nice F1. I had a 1952 F1 for several years. Nice but nothing special. Well enough for now.
