'51 F-1 Half Ton Pickup Bed
Can you tell me what the length of the truck bed is?
Is the main part of the bed possibily the same up thru '59, my neighbor has a'59 bed for sale, could i use it for my '51?

There have been a few discussions about interchangeability of beds between different years. Although the informal consensus is not proof, it seems like the 1950 through 1972 beds are the same, as far as the bed wood dimensions go. The mounting holes and side styles (step side, fleetside, etc.) may be different.
Check here http://www.clubfte.com/users/earl/Re..._Material.html for the bed wood dimensions. It may give you enough information to see if at least the floor of the bed will work.
