M for a U?
I have a '53 Mercury M100 and have two "M"'s but no "U" from the
M-E-R-C-U-R-Y.
Does anyone have a need of an M and have an extra U for the Font Hood Letters?
Does anyone have a complete set they want to sell?
Mine are pitted but not cracked or missing any pins so they can be rechromed.
Does anyone have the "M100" emblem for the Hood side?
I'm missing one.

There is enough of us around. I've only seen one 53-56 Mercury truck in my area and it's a '54 F-350. In about 1-2 weeks I'm going to a wrecker that specializes in older trucks. I'll see what they have.

I got all my 56 mercury letters for the front of the hood with my truck when I got it in January, (though a little pitted), but no M100's. I just went to a private guy with a bit of a back yard junk collection, ( about 50 cars and trucks), to buy a 67 9" ford rear, ($125 for 3.50 no posi drum to drum) and when I talked to him he said he used to have a old 56 ford but sold it years ago, but he still had a hood around. It was covering an engine in his yard for the last 10 years and when I seen it it had a nice front edge and it had one of my M100's. Got the hood for $75 but there is a rust through at the side where the hinge attaches.
