transmission fluid

to run the suncoast extreme duty kit and converter w/ chip should I run a different type of ATF? if so which one? how many different types are there?

Stick with Mercon SP. You won't need the additive package for the clutches any longer, but the shift solenoids and pressure regulator still need it to have a decent lifespan...

is mercon sp what comes in it from the factory?
I have a mag hytec deep sump pan, I forgot to ask how many quarts it holds does any one have any idea?

Yes, SP is from the factory. Stock capacity is 18 quarts, if the cooler and torque converter are empty. Add the added pan capacity rating to 18 quarts to calculate exactly how much you will need.
