I found my missing bolt.....

Unfortunately, I found it wedged between the the valve and the valve seat on the intake port of cyl #1.

I guess that explains why I had no compression. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.......

It sounds like you were lucky, just think if it had gotten past the valve.

Bummer that you had to tear it all apart to find it but danged good that it didn't get all the way in the cylinder and really tear things up

Good luck on getting it all back together.
