I have had this truck 4 weeks now and have 2000 miles. I came from a 1997 f150, so it's a little different for me. I have been hearing and feeling a few things in the drivetrain and wanted your feedback. They are:
thump or clunk in the rear drivetrain every once in a while
slight vibration in the rear under certain speeds and power.
after giving a jackrabbit start I notice a clunk in the front left when I let off the fuel pedal.
pulls to the left when braking.
4x4 hubs keep moving from the free position. Have turned them back to free three times now.
I've had mine for about 11 months (purchased 8/17/04) and the only problem I've had is when I am moving forward or backward very slowly (under 5 mph) I have a shudder from the rear end. But once I start going faster it disappears.
I have a thump/clunk coming from the rear of the truck, more noticeable when I have the rear slider open and go over a small bump. Sound more like something is loose like perhaps the spare... hope to have time to investigate this weekend.
I haven't looked at the hubs in months...have to take a peek...doesn't sound right.
