No kidding. I have thrown a lot of $$$ into the PDS and the next is into the automatic. I really don't mind though. I don't drive enough to justify buying a new on, just will make mine work. The PSD is truely habit forming, maybe my next hotrod truck will be a PSD. Let's see...1948 F100 with a PSD. ARRRR!!!
Well wormy, I am sure you will be happy with what ever you choose, but I think the 6 Speed is still the trans of choice.
well i guess hunting for gears wast the best choice of words. what i dont like is when your going down a hill and it goes into od, then as soon as your start up the other side it attemps it in that gear. then it shifts into a lower gear.
ah yes... i know what you mean... i get a little of that if i am running between 40 & 45 if the truck hasn't fully warmed up... it does a little shifting back and forth in and out of o.d. and every time it downshifts it unlocks the tc... ugghh... that's one reason i would like to get a tc lock... i like the one that you can set the speed when the tc gets locked... a little pricey though... but it would be nice if it did not unlock the tc when it shifts out of overdrive, especially when i am towing...!
For my truck they run $2595.00 and I have to build two custom drivelines to get it to work. So it's big bux. They mount in between the transmission and the transfer case.
