I'm New
As for some stuff you can do 1 of your biggest gains would be porting and polishing the heads and port matching the manifold. Larger throttle body off of a 302 or 351 will provide some extra air resulting in better throttle response and all around pull most say. You can add a aftermarket cam to up the rpms a little and for a good bit of a boost in torque. Put a non restrictive exhaust on it (2 1/2 pipe or a 2 1/4 if duals for best results most say). After you did head work and put an aftermarket cam in you would want to add the bigger throttle body and you would need bigger injecters. stock are 14#s you would want 19#s or 24#s. You can also add a aftermarket coil many people say they improve throttle response and all around fuel economy for a cheap price with easy instillation. For a quick easy bolt on you can buy big block chevy rockers they add lift and you will gain a few hp by putting them in with the factory cam. If i were you though first thing i'd do is make sure it's running as good as it was from factory so go to your local autoparts store and have them check for engine codes. I put a new 02 sensor on my 1988 and it made a world of difference in fuel economy and power so beware before you spend a bunch on upgrades and find out you had stuff wrong with it before you dumped the money in to upgrading instead of fixing whats broken.
The biggest issue is getting the efi modded motor to run well with the computer i'm not sure if 95 had maf but, if you had spead density like my 1988 then you can only overbuild it about 10% and still keep it running good without aftermarket dyno time/reflashing of the cpu. With a computerized motor you can only go with a mild cam too. If you have a automatic tranny then cam selections that may help you out would get even smaller.

the 300 is the torque motor, the 302 has more Hp but less grunt.
the 300 will pull more than the brakes will stop.
the 302 will move the truck faster but wont do the work that the 300 will.
I've smoked a stock 11" clutch pulling up a hill at 1000rpm. A 302 wont do that, it will bog down or stall.
the 302 will run smother and quieter, and will move an empty or lightly loaded truck around better and sometimes get better milage.
