Fuel Filter Dummy
I have read the threads with instructions on changing the fuel filter but cannot for the life of me find a description of the version I have.
The reference to "clips" don't sound like the ones I have which are gold colored metal and look like half a clothespin. They are loose and don't look like they hold anything. The replacement comes with a plastic clip but I have nothing like it. I am afraid to remove the clips as I don't know what their function is.
Would appreciate some help as there appears to be different versions of filter securement.

If EFI, the large loose clips are just safety clips, after you remove them, then you can use the fuel line removal tool to remove the lines fron the filter after you have relieved the pressure.
Reinstall the safety clips after you are done.
