Transfer Case Slippage
While backing up my truck and trailer while in 4HI on some wet grass and mud, the truck would not stay in 4HI, it kept popping back in 2WD. I had to shift into 4LO to park where I wanted. Now the transfer case seems to be working fine without the trailer attached. What gives? Should I have not been trying to back up in 4HI or do I need to adjust some linkage? Please help.
