Hi, Just wondering if it would be possible to find out what the best price I could get on an 05 Limited Excursion 4x4, Black with the 6.0. I have the vin # 1FMSU43P15ED02724. MRSP is $54,545. I've got an idea of what I want to offer them just wanted to get another opinion. Thanks.
Invoice is around $48500. Unit looks like it's either in Ocala or Maitland. Locator showed a lot of black Ex's on the ground (in Florida? ), so the dealer shouldn't hold you up if you want to buy one of 'em.
Thanks polarbear. It's in Ocala actually. Is that invoice price higher because of the options equipped on this truck? On the net the invioce for a Limited is like $43500. Thanks again.
Hmmm. Base invoice on a 6.0 Limited 4X4 with no options is $45951- don't forget to add for freight and FDAF assessment. That's before rebates, of course. This truck really only has 4 options- 3.73 Limited slip, Tow, 2nd Row buckets, and Rr DVD. $48415.56 is the exact invoice amount.
A Note... My F150 Fx4 With an msrp of $37,000.. I set my target price of 75% =$28,000 and got It...Set you target around 25-28 % off...Keep In mind.. all dealers have computers and printers.. that where the "Dealers Invoive" comes from !!! The Mfg. Invoice sets the price... don't get sucked In to the "Dealers" pit.... Doug
The obvious, of course, is that I simply email or fax him the invoice. They're pretty hard to alter. 'Course, it helps if a fellow FTE'er can actually look at it.
Ford and Chevy, to be precise. There's a five-foot strip of barkdust separating the two facilities- the husband owns the Ford Store and his wife owns the Chevy store. I guess that makes me bi-vehicular.

polarbear ... I heard that on the Tahoes a chevy dealership will get about $15k in money from GM after a couple months and that is their profit on the truck. This came from a fleet sales manager where I live. Is this correct ?? Don't know if you can comment.
Well, it could be a little more than that, but it's not just on Tahoes. We have quarterly sales targets, and then get paid a per-unit bonus at the period end if we hit/exceed the target. That translates into $500-$1500/unit for every unit sold in the last three months. Considering the sales rate with recent GM incentives, there's going to be some huge money paid out.
Don't expect to see that money translate into lower prices though- it doesn't get accounted against cost of sales.
I need more info- I can see it's a 2WD Expy Limited, but there's six pages of them! (and one in the Nwst Region, go figure. )
Ford prompts by (in order)
1. model year
2. model
3. trim level
4. individual colors or options. since I've figured out the rest, it'd be helpful to know what color, and if there's anything unique, equipment-wise, about it.
