Alarm Problem ?
Hello to all !
I have a 2000 Expedition I bought in 2001 and have had NO major problems (knock on wood!), but....last month the security alarm stopped working. The panic button still works on the key fob and I can still lock/unlock the doors but the blinking light on the dash next to the steering wheel blinks CONSTANTLY, whether I've engaged the alarm system or not. I can set the alarm, then actually use the key to enter without disengaging the system first.
I took it to the dealer, they only disconnected/reconnected the battery, saying that would reset the alarm, but it didn't work. Now they want me to leave it to be checked but I don't have the time right now.....any suggestion, other than leaving it at the dealership ?
