Vin number question

Vin number question
My wife bought a 1988 Ranger, she took it in this morning and the inspector said two of the three VIN numbers were missing on the car, ( Door and front end) and said it had to go to the main depot to be lifted in the air.
can anyone tell me where that VIN number is located so I can look before she goes through the wait. This truck has been nothing but trouble, blown clutch 300 miles after she got it,, I was not involved in the buy, she did it on her own for her son.
now it seems like it is my problem ( Since I have to listen to her ranting )

Here in Arizona they need 2 out of 3 vin numbers,, one is on the door, one is on the front cowling and the other is on the dash,, for some reason this truck my wife bought only has the number on the dash ( Whether from accident or whatever)
this truck was used to smuggle Illegal aliens, and a friend my wife works with father owns a towing company who sold it to my beloved wife.
Now she has to take it to the main MVD where you take cars to be inspected that have been wrecked and have a salvage title etc,. and you get in a line and wait and wait,, I waited close to 4 hours to get a BMW I got at a insurance auction looked at, so I want to verify this was not a ripoff where they put the body on a different frame ( alot of work to do I know)
