Question Trailer brake control?

Hi i have a 1988 f 150 351w auto sb... it has a trailer brake control unit mounted on the fuse panel door under the steering wheel.. any way it all looks hooked up except one red wire is there any place i can get a wire diagram or help with this?
would like to see if it works how to test it???

Find the brand name on the controller, and check out there website. I got a Tekonsha brake controller for free, and found the wiring diagram on their website.

James -

If the controller is mounted that low, how're you gonna get to the manual lever if you need to?

dont really know once i figure out if it works i will look for a better place to mount it... it was there when i purchased the truck thats all i know about it.. oh by the way there are two plugs in rear of truck one on the bumper other in the bed on drivers side? should the brake control work with both?

If you get the controller working and the plugs (7-pin?) were wired correctly, they should both work.
