Thanks For All the Help
I have been asking questions since last December on all topics such as gear ratio, lift kits, horse power, etc.
Well yesterday I raced it for the first time in an organized event,I really pulled one out of the hat.I took 1st in my class at the Central Ca. Wicked Wheelers 8th Annual Mud Bogg. The Truck ran flawlessly and was the Only Ford to Take Top Honors.I had a window sticker made up that says "460s RULE" I took a lot of ribbing from the 440 magnum and 454 well supported camps, untill the 1st green light.I may have made a few converts(probably not). It was a great time.
Thanks again to everyone for thier contributions.

I'm glad to hear that you did so well... I bet the Bow-tie and the Ram fans were pretty quiet after your win. Actions speak louder than words. Enjoy the pride.
What blower did you install? What is the HP rating before and after? I'm just curious.

It really was a great day, actually the Bow-Tie and Ram supporters were really cool,I kind of became a crowd favorite by the end of the day.I still had my lumber rack and tool box on the truck,so I think most of the construction workers started backing me after a couple of heats.
My supercharger is a Kenne Bell modified Whipple Charger. The truck was at about 300 HP before the huffer install. That was with Thorley headers,K&N Filter,Hypertech Chip,High Energy ignition, and an Isky cam.I believe the huffer added about 150 HP but I havent dyno'd it. There are a few draw backs to adding a blower though. The truck runs hotter its almost impossible to get rid of pre-detonation probs,(without adding an octane booster),You have to burn premium gas,and so on,but it does boogie when you want it to.
Later,
Jeff
