Need some audio help!!!

Hello all just wondering if anyone has good idea on putting alittle bass in my truck without doing alot.I have now in my truck an infinty powered box that has 2-10inch speakers sounds great but problem is that it sits right in the middle of back seat on floor and looks like **** that way.I have 1998 F-150 ext-cab.I seen a few boxes that go under the seat but not sure if they sound good.Does anyone have this in there truck.I also seen speakers that replace your front kick plates right by emergency brake that little kick panel.Do they sound good.I like the box i have now sounds great good bass just looks like **** sitting in middle behind console.Thank you on this everyone. And we need a truck meet in new york soon!!!!

There are a few options to consider. If you are a handyman, you can make a box for under the rear seat. There are versions with single 8s, 10s, and 12s. If you are willing to give up both sides of the under seat area, you can double that. Problem with the dual box is giving up a prime location for amps. I have my amp mounted under the driver's side rear. Installing a seat lift will open the options up even more, in terms of the specific subs to pick from. Without a lift you will be limited to a mounting depth of about 5 1/2" or so. While under the seat is the most common place to use, I have heard of 8s in the rear doors.

the kick panels that you are talking about are made by q-logic. pretty decent, but i had to do a little adjusting to get mine to fit. and i also dynamatted them to make them sturdier but other than that they provide good imaging and tonality. i just can't use the e-brake anymore.

I have an MTX Thunderform with two 8" Thunder 8000s. It's OK. Good tight bass. It probably would satisfy 90% of listeners. Remember that MOST people do not post on a forum, so we don't normally hear their input. Those who have no interest or no experience with audio would think my two 8s sounded awesome. Someone experienced with 2 quality 12s would not. I intend to upgrade to a single "high end" 10" soon. I don't really care for the looks of the Thunderform that I have. I bought it used and it looks pretty ratty. I covered it with carpet, but I'm still not thrilled with it. And, it doesn't really compare to the rest of my system, in terms of quality.

If you look around you can find measurements for boxes. I intend to just make a simple box of about .6 cubic feet for the passenger side for the single 10". I already have a one inch lift in place. That helps immensely. The box will NOT extend over the middle area like my MTX. This gives me more room for amps.
