MIL when pulling boat

I've tryed every fix I can find online. I just bought a new gas cap. I've about given up on fixing it. My local dealer gave up on fixing it. I've had this problem for 2 yrs. I've replaced everything in the system & still get the code for a small leak in the system. I just clear the code & drive it. The truck runs great.

My mechanic has seen several of the 97 & 98 model trucks with this same problem. He doesn't know what causes it. I doubt I'l try to fix it as long as the truck runs ok.
