Emissions Requirements

Anyone here from Connecticut?
I'm new with diesels and was woundering what happens with emissions testing?
1) What are the requirments?
2) Where can I get info
3) Are there any mods that can be done to the exhaust without sending alarms to the inspectors?

how is your truck again? ... after a certain age, the fuel emmisions is ruled out... (well, some places anyways - but in canada it's after 15 years old)

I just brought mine in. Ct. does an opacity test. They put it on the rollers this time, never used to. After I went through I gutted my cat so I won't know how much of a differance the cat makes for 2 more years.
