4X2 Ball Joint Lub

I'm the proud owner of a 2004 F150 and after the $150 pricetag from the dealership have decided to do my 15,000 mile checkup myself.

How do I go about lubing the 4x2 ball joint. What and where is this? What type of lub do I use and do I use a regular grease fitting for this. I appoligize for my ignorance.

Thanks ahead for the replies.

Jason

You may want to shop for a better price for servicing your new truck. That price seems a little too much, unless they are doing something unusual to your truck. Good Luck!

yeah it was part of "Free Tire for Life" program that came with my truck. You have to get all your scheduled maintenances done at their dealership and boy do they burn you.

I would think all you would need is a oil and filter change. My dealership rotates my tires with every oil change. It costs me $21.95 plus disposal fee and tax. That is with using a "MY Ford" coupon. Good Luck!

There are no zerk fittings for the ball joint. It's a factory sealed unit. They never get lubed unless they are replaced with ones that have the zerk fittings or grease fittings.
