Auto/Manual lock hub problem
Hey all,
I just picked up a 2002 F-250 SD with the 5.4L Auto Tranny and Elec shift t-case. The person who had it before me must have always relied on the Auto lock hub feature, as the manuals will NOT turn. The dealer sprayed lube into them, I got the driverside to turn but it is extremely hard. The passenger side will not turn. I have not tried using tools yet. What can I do to loosen them up?
Also. I tried shifting into 4x4 without the engine running. I could hear it trying but It didnt shift because of the hubs not having vaccuum I believe. My question is, if I lock them manually will the truck shift into 4x4 without running. It would suck to breakdown on a steep muddy hill and not be able to lock in 4x4 to hold the truck because it will not start!!
Lastly, what t-case do I have?

Ok well I went as far as taking the chrome trim ring off and finding the hub itself slides into the spindle and has a big ring holding it from coming out. But I was afraid to slide it out because I do not know what is behind it. Is there anywhere I can get a blown up diagrahm of the hub assembly?
