sub help

Hi everyone!
Just recently bought a 03 f150 extended cab, the suicide door style not crew cab. In my ranger I had my 2 12" infinies behind the seats in the back. Im wondering if anyone knows how high the rear bench seats are in the f150. I want to know the height of the seat from the floor at the lowest point at the left and right side and the highest point running down the center of the truck. I get my truck in 2 days and I got offered some 10's but I like my 12's! can anyone help? I will be making my own box...

Ben

You are going to have a fun time making your own box for that F150. Mine has just over 5" of top to bottom clearance on the passenger side. And that is the lowest point. Ick. If you are going to make your own box, I would highly recommend purchasing a rear seat lift kit. 2" of lift would give you plenty of room. Some pre-manufactured boxes come with the lift kit.

I've never actually seen an F-150 with a lift kit in it yet so I can't comment on how it would look. I'm still debating on if I should put the sub under the rear seat and get a lift kit or sacrifice the middle rear seat and put the sub on the floor and make it look like an extension of the center console.
