error codes 98 Exp EB

error codes 98 Exp EB
Hey guys,
Stopping in from the 87-96 F150 forums...
My dad has a 98 Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4L w/ the tow package. He's throwing codes PO171 and PO174. The Hayne's manual says he's running rich on both banks. Important side note, he's got a K&N filter (not the whole cold air intake, just the drop in). Truck is running great, he's only got 80k on her.
Could the K&N filter cause the computer to throw this code?
If not, any ideas on where to start.
Don't know much about his truck, but I can read with the best of them.
