I finally jumped into the large tank club. Had a 46 gallon Transfer Flow fuel tank installed. Bought it direct from TFI and had a local dealer install it for me - I was going to do it myself until I read the instructions and figured I'd be at it all weekend, wrangling with a tranny jack and all. 2 Bills to put it in, no headaches or busted knuckles and I picked it up in time to fly out of town.
Have run two tanks through it, average 600 mile range, although I haven't been able to push 700 like I want to - get a little creeped out when the idiot gauge is telling me "5 miles to Empty", the gauge reads "E" and I "know" I should have another 100 miles left. Best not to tempt fouled injectors or worse. I'll post some pics when the asphalt cools off around October!
