'98 Expy tranny jerks.
My girlfriend and I just started noticing a weird jerking sensation when accelerating from 2nd to 3erd gear, and it also happens when you let go of the gas. The car jerks slightly and it's accompanied by a popping sound. I'm guessing the tranny is slipping, but what would cause something like this, and would it be expensive to fix? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Check into the torque converter, it might be the coverter locking and unlocking. What kind of milage is on the truck ? Have you had the tranny serviced at all ? Sometimes you'd be surprized at what new fluid-filter and a band adjustment could do.
