Hey guys, Im wondering if ford ever used a 24#/hr fuel injector on any trucks (or cars) from the factory. Im looking for a higher flowing injector but am running a budget and figured I would look at the boneyards before dropping 300 bucks on some injectors. thanks. (ps im looking for the older bosch style)
Look in a boneyard for a TPI 350 chevy (late 80's Camaro/Firebird). Hate to say it, but that's your best bet for 24 lbers. Ford used them on Cobra Mustangs, but not too many in the boneyards.
Look on Ebay and classifieds in places like the corral, 24 lb injectors go for 100-150 bucks per set of 8 depending on mileage...
You do realize you'll have to change MAF meters to compensate, if you have MAF. With Speed Density you can try to compensate w/fuel pressure to keep from being pig rich.
I'm assuming you have some good mods done already I.E. Exhaust, Heads, and Cam at the least....
19 lb injectors on a 302 are good to around 300 HP.
