John Deere

I was given a John Deere 265 Lawn tractor with a snow plow attachment. It was not running and needs a new deck. It has been welded many times and there is nothing left to weld. Since I live in a town home and do not need it I was going to sell it. It is now in great running condition but still needs a deck. I know nothing about these tractors (mowers) Where can I find a replacement deck? and what would the general value of it bee with out one. I know that the area and such all play a factor but I was thinking around $400 or if I could find a new or used deck more. Any input appreciated.

Try a used lawn mower business in your locale.
Some of them run them like a wrecking yard with some part in a storage yard.

Good Idea Dennis. I'll give that a try. I had not thought of that. There is a small repair shop in town that could probably help me.

Check ebay. There is a section with outdoor power equipment and John Deer shows up a lot.
