Offset/Backspacing to OEM Wheels?
Does anyone know what the backspacing is on my stock wheels? I know sometimes it is measured in inches or millimeters. I don't know too much about this. Reason I ask is I want to upgrade to 18in. wheels (18x8.5) and do NOT want that "deep dish" look, in other words, I want the wheels to be tucked in as much as possible just like the OEM.

There are several different "stock wheels" your best bet is to pull and wheel and lay a straight edge across and back of the rim and measure the distanct from the rear of where a lugnut mounts to the straight edge. That will be you backspacing. I just measureed a 99' EB rim and the offset was 4.5 inches or about 114 mm. Hope this helps. As with any aftermarket wheel find the one you want and then ask a shop to mount the tire you want and fit it on botht he front and rear for clearance through all suspension movement, which can be done with a floor jack. Any good shop will do this for a potential 2000 dollar+ purchase. With an 18" wheel on the EXPY I doubt you will run into any problems. Most after market wheels in standard order will be 5.25 on the backspacing. Hope some of this helps you.
