Hey ya'll, new to the forum, but wanted to ask a couple questions. I've got the Super Duty bug and am in the market to buy my first. Right now, I'm looking for a used one, probably a crew cab, short bed Powerstroke. Are there any certain years I should stay away from or seek out?
Also, I'm definetly looking to lift it, but I've been noticing some already lifted used S.D's for sale in my area. I'm a little worried about buying a truck that's already lifted, just because I don't know who did the work and what the quality is. If I end up taking a couple of these already lifted trucks out for a test drive, are there any specific problems associated with a lifted Super Duty? I've owned lifted trucks in the past, but never a Ford.
Thanks for any help and my apologies if this is a already posted questions, couldn't find anything really specific in the search. Thanks!

I would definitely do the lift yourself, only so you know the work is done right, assuming you have the mechanical skill to do such a job. If you are looking for a 7.3L truck, it seems that 01-02 are the years to have. Many people suggest staying away from early 6.0 trucks as they seem to be plagued with problems. Im sure others will chime in with their opinions as well.
