Belt Replacement

I need to replace the belt. What is the best way to loosen the tensioner pulley?

Don't the OBS trucks have the same 1/2" square hole in the tensioner that the NBS trucks have?. Just stick a 1/2 drive breaker bar into that hole and relieve the tension on the belt to R&R. And deal with that pesky radiator hose.

It's not a 1/2" square hole. Looks more like an allen or star, but I can't really tell. It's much smaller thah 1/2".

Thanks Kwik. It turned out to be a star T-50, whatever T-50 means. Didn't have to worry about the radiator hose - it's one that goes up and over the belt.

T-Torx 50-5/16"? measures that way anyhow. And T-40measured 1/4" T-30 3/16"

Not sure if your 97 is different than my 95 but on mine I used a 15mm socket with a breaker bar and it rolled right over. The torx head bolt wasn't the release.
