Different year blocks

Does anyone know if the bolt patterns on a 93-300 are the same as a 79-300?

Not sure of the bolt pattern, but there is a major difference, one has a hole for the mechanical fuel pump and the other does not, using a electric fuel pump in the gas tank.

what bolt patterns are u referring to? heads? bellhousing? oil pan? ???

Bot Pattern for the transmixer, I would assume.

I have a 79 that needs a rebuild. I also have the motor from a 93. I was curious if the 93 would bolt to the transmission, motor mounts, head, etc.

From the responses I think it will work except for the fuel pump.

Whats interesting is that the cam lobe for the mechanical fule pump is still on the cam & the bolt holes to mount the pump are there as well. All that needs to be done is to cut a hole for the pump. Probably a bit more work than you'd like to do though.
