I'm in dire need of a running board bracket for my '54 F100. I believe both sides are the same but in case they are not I need a right side (passenger side). Current one is mangled (accident) and is impossible to straighten. Also, in case of no replacement, what would anyone suggest using to fabricate a new one. I can save the part that attaches to the frame rail and weld on to it but I would prefer an original replacement. Any good souls out there?
Thanks
Grumpy
Goobzilla might have one. I talked to him about getting all four from his parts truck but I really only need a couple. Haven't followed up with him for awhile so I don't know if he still has them. Goob?
I checked BOB'S - none in catalog but left an email.
Who is 'Goobzilla'? Being an old guy doesn't neccessarily make me a know-it-all.
Member or a web site??

In case you can't find an original running board brace, MidFifty sells a repro brace but it has to be modified to accept the battery tray if it is the front one you need. Good luck.

Hey rogerf100 - thanks for the info. I hope your price is close to what it is now as Mid-Fifty wants $79 per. I had visited Bob's site and saw the p/n but no listing of availability or price. I left an email for them to contact me. Hopefully they have them cheaper than Mid-Fifty. All in all, $79 may be better than buying channel stock and bending & welding it up.
Also, while looking at their on-line catalog I noticed running boards in two pieces. Something about a type for truck fenders with no notch?? I'm lost on this. I don't have any notches on my fenders ('54 F100) and since I don't have any running boards (and need them!) what the heck am I supposed to be buying? The steel and fiberglass boards that I have seen are one piece, as the originals. Am I going to have to cut out my fenders to fit the things??? Are the fiberglass ones the same length as the steel?? Someone please straighten out my thinking on this. Help
Only the modified fiberglass running boards come in 2 pieces. The side panel is separate. These only work with the fiberglass fenders without a notch at the bottom front.
For stock fenders use the stock style running boards in fiberglass or steel. They are 1 piece with the side panel attached.
The 3 inch wider fiberglass fenders have an indentation (notch) at the front where they bolt to the running board for the stock style boards. Get a Midfifty catalog and it explains it better than the online catalog. It is a good reference book as well as a catalog.

Hi rogerf100 - you sure must have an old catalog as Bob's just told me they are $90 each plus $9 shipping. Oh well, so much for getting a bargain. Maybe I'll luck out with "truckfarmer" as he has a few for sale. Also, thanks for the info update on board variances - fiberglass fenders vs steel original. As my fenders are all steel originals I'll buy the 'standard' running boards. Big help.
Still need some. I've got several sets. Where you at, and I can get a shipping cost. I'm in Redmond, OR. Left and right are the same as far as I can remember, and they're the same for several sizes from I believe 100-600.
